ArcKiss Release notes
---------------------

v1.00 is a complete re-write, to take somewhat into account
all the things that have happened recently (or even ages ago)
in the Acorn world.

Once loaded, !ArcKiss will sit quietly on the iconbar
waiting to be activated. There are several ways of doing this:

  * Dragging an LZW or LHA archive, etc to the Kiss icon while
SparkFS is loaded. !ArcKiss will recognise this, and read
     the archive without any problems.

  * LongFileNames, a module by Jason Tribbeck can allow you to
have filenames up to about 30 characters, so files such
as 'KISSCONF/CNF' can sit on your hard disc. If you do
not have SparkFs, then download this small program from
hensa, and depack the kiss archives (LZH mostly) with an
appropriate decomressor, and put them all in a directory
with their *full* filenames. Dragging this directory to
the Kiss icon will now load it.

  * If you do not want/cannot get LongFileNames, then the
standard way round files such as 'KISSCONF/CNF' on RISCOS
is to create a directory called 'CNF' and move the files
inside it, renaming it 'KISSCONF' drag the upper directory
to the iconbar (ie, the one containing the directory 'CNF')
     and again, Kiss will load.

  * In all of these cases, just double clicking the CNF file
will load it into !Kiss, so long as it can find all the
files where it expects them to be.

Note the auto-sizing code only provides a rough estimate of
the amount of memory needed. If when you load a kiss data file
you get an error message like 'No room for this DIM' then
try again without the code sizing checks.
